Textbooks are not included. However, we encourage membership in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (information about membership is available through http://www.spe.org/ ), and textbooks are often available through SPE at reduced rates for members. Some professors privide all necessary course materials.

In addition, we provide lecture notes and other materials through the web site. When needed papers are available through the SPE on-line library, we publish the information necessary to locate the paper, and students have free access to the library through fees paid by the university.

When papers are not available through SPE, we can post .pdf files to the website for free downloading.

The tuition and fees charge also does not cover graduation expenses such as the university's diploma fee, but it does supercede other university fees.

We recognize that this amount is greater than the cost of courses taken on campus. However, with the advantage of being able to continue to work full time, to live anywhere in the world, and to study at hours convenient to the individual, we believe it is in the long run a savings over the cost of leaving a job, relocating to College Station, and organizing personal lifestyles around preset university schedules.

And when it's all said and done, you will have a Master of Engineering from the world's leading school of petroleum engineering.
