- If English is not your native language, you may need to show proficiency through scores on the TOEFL (550 paper, 213 computer, 80 IBT), IELTS (6.0), or GRE verbal (400)

- The Texas Common Application http://www.applytexas.org
- Transcripts of all previous college or university study, including statements of degrees earned
- GRE scores
- Current resume
- Three personal recommendations attesting to your ability to succeed in graduate study. Here's the form.
- An admissions essay used to evaluate your interests, background, and communication skills, and it should address the following:
- The purpose in attending graduate school as a general or specific statement
- Expectations from this degree and how the degree would help in work
- Problems, opportunities, and challenges you perceive in working toward your degree
The essay may be submitted as a part of the Texas Common Application or by e-mail to our departmental graduate advisors at grad_office@pe.tamu.edu
- ALL STUDENTS MUST SEND IN A COPY OF THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS LIVING IN THE U.S. MUST ALSO SEND A COPY OF THEIR VISA TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES. THESE FORMS MUST BE RESENT/UPDATED IF AND WHEN THEY EXPIRE.

All the requirements to complete the Master of Engineering distance degree are fulfilled
through distance learning. You will not have to come to campus to complete
any of the requirements.
All exams, projects, and other class assignments will be given through the
distance learning system. Details of how this will be accomplished will be
on a case by case basis and usually differ depending on the professor.
