Financial Assistance for Graduate Students
Fellowships are periodically offered to qualified students who
have been officially admitted to the Harold Vance Department of
Petroleum Engineering. Once you have accepted a Fellowship offer,
you will qualify for in-state tuition rates; the Fellowship does
not waive the tuition requirement but does reduce the tuition for
out-of-state and international students. The Fellowship does not
provide insurance benefits nor a monthly stipend.
The Fellowship does not prohibit a student from seeking further
financial support, such as other fellowships, research
assistantships or graduate teaching appointments. To find
information concerning additional fellowship opportunities, you
can go to http://ogs.tamu.edu/prospective/financial
You can find information about research in the Harold Vance
Department of Petroleum Engineering on the Web site at the
following link - RESEARCH. The Web
site includes names and areas of interest of each professor, along
with links to the professor's research projects. After you
determine the area in which you are interested, you must apply for
research or teaching positions with the professor or professors
who specialize in your area of interest.
