Clay Carrell is Vice President of El Paso Exploration and Production Company, Texas Gulf Coast. In this capacity, he is responsible for the Texas Gulf Coast business unit’s E&P operations.
Carrell joined El Paso on March 12, 2007. He was previously Vice President, engineering & operations at People’s Energy Production.
He joined People’s Energy Production in 2001 as Vice President and played a key role in the growth of the company through drilling and acquisitions in the Gulf Coast, San Juan, Arkoma, and East Texas / North Louisiana regions. In total, he has more than 19 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Peoples Energy Production, he worked at Burlington Resources and ARCO Oil and Gas Company in various domestic and international engineering and management roles.
Carrell received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1988.
