Jeffrey W. Miller '85


Mr. Jeffrey W. Miller joined Moncrief Oil International (“MOIL”) as a Partner in May of 2004.  MOIL is involved in several existing and developing projects in Russia and the Former Soviet Union. Additionally, MOIL has formed a new company to purchase mineral interests in the Fort Worth Basin (Barnett Shale).  Prior to joining MOIL, Mr. Miller has over 10 years experience in energy investment banking on a global level.  The majority of his career was with UBS (Dillon Read), having joined Dillon Read in 1993. Mr. Miller's transactional experience has included various equity and debt financing and advisory assignments for a cross section of integrated, exploration and production and oilfield service companies in the United States, United Kingdom, Latin America, Australia, Russia, and the Former Soviet Union. 

Prior to attending business school, Mr. Miller was employed by Exxon Company USA for three years as a petroleum engineer having operational and profitability responsibilities for several oil and gas fields throughout southeast Texas. Mr. Miller has a Petroleum Engineering degree from Texas A&M University (1985, Magna Cum Laude), and holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School (1990).
