Cathy Sliva is a founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock Energy Capital, LTD. Prior to creating BlackRock
Energy Capital, she spent 9 years in energy finance with Tenneco
Ventures, Domain Energy, and Range Resources. Cathy has 25 years of
diversified experience in the energy industry. She began her career as a
petroleum engineer with Tenneco Oil, and has enhanced that platform with
extensive experience in petroleum economics, strategic planning,
investor relations and corporate strategy. Additionally, she has the
experience of the creation and start up of two new companies, a
management led buyout, an IPO, and a corporate merger.
Cathy is a registered professional engineer and a 1980 graduate of Texas A&M University, with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Ms. Sliva is the current vice chairman of the Texas A&M University Petroleum Engineering Industry Advisory Board.
