Dr. David S. Schechter headed the Naturally Fractured Reservoir Characterization/Engineering group at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology for 7 years. He has been involved in an extensive reservoir characterization effort in the naturally fractured Spraberry Trend Area which has involved geological, petrophysical, logging interpretation, coreflooding and simulation studies. He also spent five years at the Petroleum Engineering Department at Stanford University as a Post Doctoral Research Associate and Assistant Professor. He is currently, Director of the Engineering Imagining Laboratory (CT Scan Division) in the department.
